In the 40 years since I moved to the North Shore, I have seen gradual, and recently, sudden changes. Once we could count cars passing by after 10PM on one hand. We knew most everyone at the grocery store. And a home was something anyone who worked hard could buy. Those happy times have changed, but those in power have not.

• Our 100-year-old highway is crumbling and often floods.
• Unpermitted vacation rentals in our neighborhoods displace residents.
• Home prices are out of reach. Regulations strangle new housing.
• Many young adults must live with their parents or leave the islands.
• Crowds of visitors overwhelm residents, affecting our quality of life.
• Infrastructure is inadequate for residents and for our 2.7 million visitors.
We can do better.

I am retired and free to serve you full time. My years serving my church in Kahuku, our youth in soccer, curious residents and visitors as local historian, and my family as husband and father, have knitted me into our community. I’ve lived the challenges of small business, as a contractor and arborist for over 30 years.

I have actively supported and will continue to promote:
• Alternatives to ease our traffic woes.
• Solutions that address the root causes of homelessness, drug abuse and crime
• Easing the cost of living and housing shortage for residents
• Protection of our natural resources and native species.
• Diversified agriculture and protection of important agricultural lands (IAL).
I listen. I know the issues. I will work hard to represent you.
I humbly ask for your vote in the primary by mailing your ballot by August 5th or drop off by the 8th in Kahuku Community Center or Mililani Park and Ride.
“TOGETHER WE CAN DO BETTER!”
