After closing during the pandemic, Turtle Bay Resort reopened its doors on July 1 to welcome guests and the community back after completing renovations across the property. Kahu Cy Bridges conducted the blessing, musician Kawika Kahiapo performed and Halau i Kalimakuhilani shared a hula.

“Turtle Bay is an iconic property with a rich history, legendary location, and employees who are authentic and full of pride. With our new transformation, this resort is poised to be one of the finest in the State of Hawai‘i,” said Tom Donovan, vice president and managing director of Turtle Bay Resort.

The resort enhancements include creating a new resort entrance, refreshing the ocean bungalows with contemporary decor and amenities, adding Native Hawaiian plants like ‘ulu, naupaka and pohinahina to the lush grounds, and reimagining food and beverage outlets like Alaia, which will feature produce grown across the street at the resort’s Kuilima Farms.

“We are so fortunate to be part of this special North Shore community, and we’re proud of our efforts over nearly 10 years to give back through the Turtle Bay Foundation by awarding grants to nonprofits and scholarships to students making a difference in our area,” Donovan added.
