In the spirit of aloha, the North Shore community banded together to support one another during these challenging times by hosting a food drive. This grassroots initiative was organized by the North Shore Food Bank in partnership with Turtle Bay Resort and with the support of the Hawaii Foodbank and Aloha Harvest.

On January 27, volunteers from the resort and the NSFB handed out more than 17,000 pounds of food to more than 830 community members during the drive-through event at Turtle Bay Resort.

“With each car’s arrival, we saw plenty of happy faces and people expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the support,” said Kiele Muraco, a Turtle Bay Resort team member and food drive volunteer. “It’s amazing to see these organizations come together and give back to our North Shore ‘ohana who continue to be impacted by the pandemic.”

The event was held to support Turtle Bay employees and North Shore families impacted by the ongoing COVID-pandemic.
