North Shore, Ko‘olauloa students are encouraged to apply online now through Feb. 28
The Turtle Bay Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Turtle Bay Resort, invites North Shore and Ko‘olauloa students to apply now for scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Last year, the Foundation awarded $60,000 in educational scholarships to 48 high school and college students from schools including Kahuku High and Intermediate School, Waialua High and Intermediate School, Leilehua High School, the University of Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Pacific University and more.
“The Turtle Bay Foundation provides support for deserving youth and organizations for the sustainable future of our North Shore and Ko‘olauloa communities,” said Tom Donovan, vice president and managing director of Turtle Bay Resort. “Education is invaluable, and we are proud to play a small part in propelling our keiki’s academic journeys, setting them up for success to reach their goals.”
Scholarships provide one-year financial support to individuals pursuing higher education. Applicants must be a Hawai‘i resident and reside between Mokuleia and Kualoa or have a parent that has been employed at Turtle Bay Resort or Turtle Bay Golf for the last five years.
The Turtle Bay Foundation Scholarship Committee awards the scholarships to recipients based on a combination of criteria, including academic performance, academic review and video submission, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Interested students can learn more about the process and apply at www.turtlebayfoundation.org/ apply. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
Scholarship winners will be announced in Spring 2022. For the latest news on the Turtle Bay Foundation, please visit www.turtlebayfoundation.org/ or follow @turtlebayfoundation on Instagram and Facebook.
